Flexible Gear Couplings basically consist of two hubs, with crowned external teeth and two outer sleeves with internal spur teeth. Gear Hubs and the outer sleeves are
manufactured from carbon steel and are hardened to the required degree. They are machined to fine tolerances for proper meshing of the gears as well as
for inter-changeability.
The teeth of Gear Hubs are crowned and are generated by involute system. The amount of crowning and backlash values are so chosen as to
ensure the best results in torque transmission, greater flexibility and smooth operations.
The internal teeth of the sleeves are generated to ensure correct profile. The coupling sleeves are joined together with high tensile steel bolts & fitted using a gasket in between them.

Nylon Gear Coupling Consists of two Steel Gear hubs engaging in a sleeve of high grade engineering plastic material of superior strength and high temperature resistance. The crowned gear tooth permits axial angular misalignment. No transmission noise due to the coupling.
The Nylon coupler is easy to assemble and require no maintenance and lubrication. Maximum Permissable Angular Misalignment is 1.5 Degree.
Pin Bush Couplings are engineered for the power transmission applications, where limited misalignment between the driven and the driver shafts occur.
It is a package of sophisticated construction and high torque transmitting capacity at higher speeds and is capable of absorbing shock loads.
It is unidirectional coupling, which can transfer torque in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions. Torque transmission in PBC takes place through high tensile steel bolts.
PBC is made for the least downtime; it doesn’t need to be adjusted after fitting nor lubrication is required. Its robust construction makes the flexible bushes unaffected by oil & grease, dustproof and unaffected from atmospheric conditions.

The function of a BC flexible coupling is to transmit torque from one shaft to another in cases where limited misalignment may occur and also to absorb shock loads.
The Bush Type Flexible Coupling of the cushioned drive type, transmits the torque through high tensile steel bolts to the machine input shaft. Highly developed rubber compounds are used in bushes to absorb shock loads, torsional vibrations and slight misalignments.
Simple and compact in construction, the Coupling is capable of transmitting high torques at maximum speeds. The flanges are manufactured with cast iron, grade 20 of IS. 210. This type of coupling permits drive in either direction and requires neither lubrication nor adjustment after fitting. The flexible bushes remain unaffected by water. dust and atmospheric conditions.

Tyre couplings are highly flexible and free of torsional backlash. Because of their low torsional stiffness and damping capacity, tyre couplings are especially suitable for coupling machines with a highly non uniform torque pattern. These tyre couplings are also suitable for connecting machines with high shaft misalignment. The elastic tyre can simply be slipped over the hub parts. The elastic tyre is held firmly in place by fitting the clamping ring. The connection transmits the torque by frictional engagement.
The tyre couplings are are suitable for horizontal and vertical mounting positions or mounting positions at any required angle. The elastic tyre is slit at the circumference and can be changed without having to move the coupled machines. The elastic tyre is fitted without backlash and gives the coupling linear torsional stiffness, thus the torsional rigidity remains constant as the load on the coupling increases. Especially suitable for reversing operation or operation with changing directions of load. The coupling parts can be arranged as required on the shafts to be connected. If the elastic tyre is irreparably damaged or worn, the metal parts can rotate freely against one another because they are not in contact with one another.
Tyre couplings are used in many sectors where transmission from a motor to the connected machine is needed. Iron and steel industry, shipbuilding, compressors, mining industry, paper manufacturing machinery, cement manufacturing installations, pump installations, electrical power generators and hoisting applications.

Jaw coupling is a type of general purpose power transmission coupling that also can be used in motion control (servo) applications. It is designed to transmit torque (by connecting two shafts) while damping system vibrations and accommodating misalignment, which protects other components from damage. Jaw couplings are composed of three parts: two metallic hubs and an elastomer insert called an element, but commonly referred to as a "spider". The three parts press fit together with a jaw from each hub fitted alternately with the lobes of the spider. Jaw coupling torque is transmitted through the elastomer lobes in compression.
Like other flexible couplings, jaw couplings are limited in the shaft misalignment that they can accommodate. Too much axial motion will cause the couplings to come apart, while too much angular or parallel misalignment will result in bearing loads that may lead to premature system wear or failure.
